Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile applications developed and operated by the People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) Balochistan, including:
- Attendance App – used by staff for check-in/check-out, GPS-based verification, photo capture, and leave management.
- OPD / EMR App – used by authorized PPHI staff to record patient demographic and clinical information during in-person visits (ANC, PNC, labor room, OPD services, diagnostics, and prescriptions).
These applications are strictly for internal PPHI Balochistan use. Unauthorized access is not permitted.
By using either Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
PPHI applications collect different data types depending on their function.
A. Staff Attendance App (Staff Data Only)
This app may collect:
1. Personal Information
- Name
- CNIC
- Phone Number
- Staff ID or facility assignment
2. Location Data
- Precise GPS location for attendance check-in/check-out
(OPD/EMR app does not collect location.)
3. Photos
- Selfie/photo at check-in or check-out for identity verification
(OPD/EMR app does not capture photos.)
4. Device and Log Data
- Device type
- Operating system
- IP address
- Diagnostic logs (for errors)
**B. OPD / EMR App
(Patient Data – No GPS, No Photos)**
This app collects patient information during in-person visits:
1. Patient Demographic Information
- Name
- Relation (Father/Husband/Guardian)
- CNIC
- Phone number
- Gender
- Age
- Any additional demographic fields required by PPHI
2. Medical / Clinical Information
Collected during OPD, ANC, PNC, and Labor Room visits:
- Symptoms and clinical notes
- Vital signs and examination details
- Diagnostic findings
- Treatment plans and follow-up
- Prescribed medicines
- Visit history and care episodes
3. Operational Data
- Staff providing the care
- Facility and service point identifiers
- Record timestamps
No multimedia or location data is collected by the OPD app.
2. How We Use the Data
Attendance App
- Staff attendance verification
- GPS-based presence validation
- Identity confirmation through photo
- Leave management
- Internal HR and performance reports
- Maintaining operational transparency
OPD / EMR App
- Documenting patient encounters and clinical assessments
- Supporting ANC/PNC/Labor room services
- Generating accurate medical records
- Improving continuity of care
- Reporting and health program monitoring
- Public health analytics and facility performance evaluation
Data is used only for official PPHI healthcare service delivery and organizational operations.
3. Permissions Used
Attendance App
- Location (Fine/Coarse): For GPS attendance
- Camera: For capturing staff images
- Storage: For storing configuration data
- Network / Internet: Syncing attendance data
- Phone State (Android): App functionality on Android devices
OPD / EMR App
- Internet access: Syncing medical records
- Network status: To ensure stable data transfer
No location or camera access is used by the OPD/EMR app.
4. Disclosure of Data
Data may be shared only when necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations
- Investigate misuse of the app
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of PPHI Balochistan
- Support internal audits or program monitoring
- Provide system maintenance via trusted third-party service providers
We do not sell, trade, or use personal or medical data for any commercial, marketing, or tracking purposes.
5. Data Security
PPHI Balochistan uses industry-standard security controls to safeguard both staff data and patient medical records:
- Encrypted data transmission
- Secure server storage
- Access restricted to authorized personnel only
- Audit trails for system use
Despite best practices, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
6. Data Retention
- Attendance records and photos are retained as required for internal HR and audit policies.
- Patient medical records are retained to support continuity of care and public health reporting requirements.
- Records are deleted or archived in accordance with PPHI’s data retention policies and legal obligations.
7. Children’s Privacy
The apps are not intended for use by individuals under 18, except when patient data is recorded by authorized PPHI staff during clinical services.
Children cannot independently access the app.
8. Links to External Sites
Some features may link to external web resources. These sites are not operated by PPHI. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies separately.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy periodically to comply with evolving healthcare and data protection standards. Changes take effect once posted within the app or on our official website.
