Chief Executive Officer (CEO) PPHI-B Dr. M.B. Raja Dharejo, along with Assistant Commissioner Hub, DHO Hub, and the District Manager PPHI, visited the Basic Health Unit (BHU) Pinyan, and BHU Phota Goth, Gaddani.
He reviewed medical records and inspected service delivery arrangements and checked the availability of medicines and essential equipment. Mr. Dharejo inaugurated the newly established labour room aimed to improve maternal healthcare services in the area.
CEO ordered for 6 months’ clinical audit of medicines’ consumption at BHUs. He showed displeasure over non-maintenance of Stock Register. Moreover, he also issued orders for audit of Local Purchase Medicines of the last 6 months in District Lasbela and Hub.
Moreover, he also issued directions to review available regular HR of Govt side and rationality of HR hired by PPHI based upon average OPD of last 6 months. CEO underscored underutilization of MCH services due to non-availability of Midwife in evening and night shifts.
On examination of Permanent Register of EPI Centre, it was showing poor performance of vaccination team. For entire year, only 78 children were vaccinated at facility EPI Centre.
CEO asked DHO Hub to inquire the matter and submit report within next 10 days with reasons. CEO gave polio drops to children came to BHU with their parents during visits and counselled them about vaccination benefits.
