The 58th Extraordinary Meeting of the Board of Directors (BoD) of PPHI-B was held under the chairmanship of Muneer Ahmed Badini. Key governance reforms, organizational performance, and continuity of primary healthcare services were reviewed.The Board appreciated the first 60-day performance of CEO PPHI-B, noting a clear shift towards system-driven, disciplined, and institutionally sound management. It was informed that uninterrupted healthcare services were ensured at over 900 Basic Health Units (BHUs) across all 36 districts of Balochistan, despite geographical & logistical challenges. Reviewed measures taken to stabilize service delivery, rebuild systems, and restore governance integrity. Key initiatives included e-filing, ERP system expansion, centralized procurement, biometric attendance, merit-based recruitment, and monthly performance reviews, aimed at reducing ad-hoc practices and strengthening accountability. The Board was briefed that district-level ownership of primary healthcare had been enhanced through coordination with Deputy Commissioners and district health officials, resulting in PKR 500 million committed by district administrations for health facilities, along with additional support through development partners. Progress on human resource governance, digitalization, financial discipline, and partner engagement was also noted. The Board welcomed extensions of major donor-supported projects, approval for Solarization of 175 BHUs, operationalization of additional facilities, and strengthened emergency and outreach services. The BoD reaffirmed its support for ongoing reforms to improve transparency, service quality & institutional performance. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the Chair & formal appreciation for the CEO’s leadership & achievements during the initial 60-day period.
